we r a very recent entry into bird watching, wild life and nature photography. In the last one year we have traveled extensively to bharatpur, rajaji national park, kasroan, asan barrage, fri institute area, dehradun, chakrata, lansdown and dkikala, jim corbett national park, okhla bird sanctuary. Our collection of videos, snaps have become substantial consisting of birds, nature, wild animals including tiger and a rare video of king cobra in the river. We would like to share the same with the like minded people. Our arsenal consists of panasonic camaorder, sony t-5 digital camera and nikon action series 10-22*50 binocular. We want to acquire the recently introduced canon 500d / rebel t1i(body only) and the caonon 70-200 f/4.0 l usm is lense. Could somebody comment on the choice and suggest some better alternative.

Dear Biswadeep,

It is good to know that you have visited the Mandakini Magpie Bird Watcher's camp. I am sure you must have had a great time. Do let us know if you have written a report or prepared a checklist/taken images during your stay there.

You asked for a 'bird lover club'. I would like to refer you to the following site: http://delhibird.net/

This Site/group interacts through the following Yahoo! Group - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/delhibird/ and shares bird images through the following Google Group - http://groups.google.com/group/delhibirdpix

Other than this, Members of this group meet every Sunday Morning to go for a bird watching field trip in or around Delhi. You can find out the details by joining the Yahoo! Group (mentioned above) and posting a query there.

I hope you find this useful.

Regards
Govind
