Eco- Dharma reveals eco- approach associated with Indian concept of sacredness of the nature as well as concern in development of public environmental awareness. India today brings the picture of deep ecological crisis as a consequence of over population, aggressive implementation of technology and climate change. The living matter strives in attempt to share life space with human constructions and machinery. Bishnois from Western Rajasthan since 16th Century effectively continues their Eco- Dharma – sacred duty of protecting environment.

Bishnoi villages oases are easily distinguishable with plenty of trees and wild life. The community is known for sacrificing their wealth and life to guard them.
