Position#1: Manager – Clean Technology Development (Two Vacancies)

Work Profile:

  1. Responsible for providing management support to CT initiatives direction of technology development for livelihood creation and basic needs services.
  2. Coordinating with market development unit of DA Group(TARA) for technology incubation.

Desired Profile/ Qualifications: ME/ M-Tech Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science

Desired Work Experience: 5-7 years of experience as Mech. Engineer working with private sector or Govt. programs in field such as machine development in textiles, paper making, food processing or construction sector. Should have an experience of interacting with government officials, market promoters on field users.

Position #2: Executive-Habitat Planning/Services

Work Profile:

  1. Preparation of drawing, designs and Bill of Quantities.
  2. Responsible for construction Planning, tracking and site supervision.
  3. Supporting and providing hand holding to artisans in field.
  4. Responsible for documentation and report writing.

Desired Profile/Qualifications: ME/ M-Tech Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science

Desired Work Experience: 5-7 years of experience as Mech. Engineer working with private sector or govt. programs in field such as machine development in textiles, paper making, food processing or construction sector. Should have an experience of interacting with government officials, market promoters on field users.

Position #3: Manger- Water Program

Work Profile:

  1. Responsible for providing managerial support to water sub-program, product and technology development.
  2. responsible for coordinating with market development unit of DA Group (TARA) for technology incubation.

Desired Profile/ Qualifications:  BE Civil with Advanced Degree in Water Resources Management or other relevant field

Desired Work Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Water systems, Water supply management and delivery water efficiency technology sanitation hygiene.

Position #4: VE-SuRE Programme Coordinator

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has initiated a programme titled, “Village Electrification through Sustainable use of Renewable Energy (VE-SuRE)”. SDC has engaged Technology and Action for Rural Advancement (TARA) as hosts of the Programme Management Unit. SDC will, through its collaboration with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and the Government of Sikkim, establish 25 to 30 community based power plants and their associated service delivery models.

Work Profile:

  1. Responsible for leading the PMU team in collaboration with   the Chief Operating Officer, TARA and eventually assuming full responsibility for coordination of the Programme.
  2. Responsible for planning, resource deployment and monitoring related to VE-SuRE activities within six monthly frames set by Programme Review and Planning Meetings, thereby ensuring timely delivery of outputs and efficient use of resources.
  3. Responsible for preparatory inputs, active     management and documentation of the SDC-NTPC Steering Committee Meetings and other Programme Review and Planning Meetings.
  4. Responsible (individually or with other Programme representatives as per situation) for interaction related to implementation of the VE-SuRE Programme with partners and other key stakeholders.
  5. The incumbent will participate in policy  dialogue with government and all other concerned stakeholders and will be expected to acquire the capability to represent the Programme in this regard.

Desired Profile/ Qualifications: Graduate in Technology/Engineering or Post-graduate in Commerce with minimum 8 years experience in management of service delivery related development programmes for rural areas.

Desired Work Experience:

  • Working knowledge of rural electrification policies and      initiatives launched by Government, Donors and Civil Society Organizations.
  • Familiarity with the overall energy scenario of rural India and its current challenges.,
  • Ability to lead and motivate the VE-SuRE Programme team
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to comprehend and consolidate inputs from a diverse range of stakeholders.

Job Specifications:

  1. Post-graduate qualification in Management
  2. Field experience in Renewable Energy, particularly projects implemented in rural areas.
  3. Familiarity with climate change issues and their implications on future trends in renewable energy and rural electrification.

  1. Responsible for managing the housing and sanitation project in Bundelkhand.
  2. Responsible for process documentation, organising and coordinating internal and external meetings.
  3. Responsible for monitoring implementation processes and maintaining beneficiary files and databases and timely reporting to project manager and head office as and when required.

Desired Profile/ Qualifications the candidate: PG in Social Science/ Environmental Studies

Desired Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the same field. Experience in construction related projects is preferred.
