Painting Competition at School Level on Energy Conservation 2011

The Ministry of Power, Government of India invites school children to paint a world of imagination and discover the magic of clean, green and energy efficient future; a future, which they will inherit. In this process, the Ministry hopes that school children will not only learn a few good things but will also teach the world a few new things.  The Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2011 makes a call to all little artists of the nation to come forward and participate at the school, state and national level. The best energy artists will be invited to an all expenses paid trip to Delhi in December, 2011 and will be felicitated with cash awards and certificates. The themes for School Level Painting Competition this year are:

  • Save electricity to avoid power cuts;
  • Use energy with care; and
  • The less you burn, the more you earn

The Ministry requests School Principals from across India to organise painting competition of 2 hours duration for 4th, 5th, and 6th standards. Schools located in the NCR of Delhi can participate in the Delhi State Level Painting Competition. The school can then send the two best paintings along with detailed information of the number of students participated, etc. to the Nodal officer for the state/ UT by 28th October, 2011. All participants will receive participation certificate.

From all the paintings received, the Ministry will select upto 50 best paintings and invite them for State Level Painting Competitions for each State/ UT. This will take place on the 14th November 2011, Children’s Day. The top three prize winners of each State/ UT will be invited to Delhi to participate in the “National Level Competition” which will be held on 12th December, 2011. The first, second and third prize winners at the National Level will win Rs. 1,00,00/-, Rs. 50,000/- (four paintings), and Rs. 25,000/- (eight paintings). In addition to this, ten consolation prize of Rs. 10,000/- each will also be given. Cash awards will also be given to State/ UT level prize winners.
