Invite: Quotes from the Earth – An Environmental Film Festival at IIC

Toxics Link and India International Centre invite all interested to the next in the series of ‘Quotes from the Earth’ – an Environmental Film Festival. The Festival will be a discursive platform to highlight environmental challenges at the national and international level through films, which are a powerful medium of communication and discussion. The two day long environmental film festival will bring under one umbrella the persistent and persuasive films from India and around the world.

Dates: December 5th & 6th, 2014
Time: 9.15 a.m. onwards.
Venue: India International Centre, 40, Max Mueller Marg, Lodhi Road, New Delhi

The festival aims to engage the audience for not only what exists, but also what steps to take in future towards environment conservation. A total of24 films will be screened on themes ranging from biodiversity, water, livelihood to climate change and sustainability. The films are directed by renowned and award winning film-makers such as Nandan Saxena, S. Nallamuthu, Krishnendu Bose and also by the upcoming ones, who have the potential to express and mobilize viewers’ feelings and thoughts, through this visual medium.

Entry is free for all.
