Konica Minolta at Airtel Delhi Half Marathon to Support Underprivileged Children

Konica Minolta Business Solutions participated in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon today to support the cause of underprivileged children. Konica Minolta has announced to support this cause as a CSR initiative in collaboration with Smile Foundation. The Smile foundation will use the sponsored amount for the education of the underprivileged children which will help them in building a bright future.

Representatives from Konica Minolta are also running in the marathon. As part of its CSR initiatives, Konica Minolta is fully committed towards the development of a sustainable society. Since India has the largest number of children worldwide who are not enjoying the same standard of living or rights as the majority of children do, this is dedicated initiative taken up by Konica Minolta.

Smile Foundation adamantly works towards providing education to underprivileged children under difficult circumstances such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children.

Smile Foundation focuses on the education of underprivileged children as a means to address issues like health, poverty, unemployment, human rights across India. Smile Foundation aspires to raise funds which would help the campaign Send Every Child to School under our Mission Education Programme.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Yuji Nakata, Managing Director of Konica Minolta noted, “Konica Minolta has always believed in supporting children, who are our next-generation leaders. Many children in India fail to obtain the basic amenities to endure their living due to the variety of factors. In this context, we believe Konica Minolta’s initiative would be more than beneficial to these Underprivileged children.”
