Workshop on Farmers Welfare Through Traditional Organic Farming

Shri Radha Mohan informed the participants of the workshop that the importance of organic farming has increased manifolds due to the impending crisis of a rapidly changing climate. It is because of this reason that the Government of India has launched the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojna (PKVY) and Organic Value Added Development (OVCDNER) schemes under National Sustained Agriculture Mission. These are meant to promote organic farming in India.
Shri Radha Mohan Singh also briefed the participants about a new scheme by the name of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Unnat Krihsi Siksha Yojna. This scheme is aimed at fishing out the talent of Indian youths and all round development of rural India.
