National Level Poster Making Competition on Air Pollution Invites Entries

The National Museum of Natural History of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India invites entries for National Level Poster Making Competition on the theme of Air Pollution. The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is to #beatairpollution. The competition is also aimed at selecting a suitable candidate for the Young Environmentalist of the Year Award 2019.

Who Can Participate?

The National Level Poster Making Competition is open to students who are Indian citizens and born between 1 April 2001 and 31 March 2005.

How to Participate?

The Poster has to be made on a drawing sheet of size 22 x 15 inch along with 100 words write up about the theme of the poster on the backside of the Poster. You also need to write your name, school details, residential address and contact details (Phone and Email) on the backside of the Poster in BLOCK letters.

The Poster should be accompanied by the following documents: 1) Proof of Date of Birth (copy of Birth Certificate/ School Certificate); 2) Identity Proof (Copy of Aadhar Card); and 3) Certificate acknowledging the originality of the work (authenticity of the work attested by Head of School/ Institute/ Gazetted Officer).

The complete entry, with all the above documents, needs to be sent to the following address and must reach by 21 June 2019, 4.00 pm:

Details of Prizes for Poster Competition

All the entries received within the stipulated time will be reviewed by a team of experts. The results will be announced on 28 June 2019 through the MoEFCC website. Following are the prizes that will be given:

  • The Selected Best Entry will be awarded with the Young Environmentalist of the Year Award 2019. This will include a cash award of INR 15,000 and a medal and will be given in a function which will take place in New Delhi.
  • The Second Prize Winner will receive a cash award of INR 10,000
  • The Third Prize Winner will receive INR 7000
  • Five Encouragement Prize Winner will receive INR 2000 each.

All prize winners will also receive a trophy and a certificate.
