Delhi Greens is organising a three-day long Expedition to a Rural Village near River Yamuna in Uttarakhand.
The villages in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand have long witnessed mass-scale exodus of people due to lack of basic infrastructure and livelihood opportunities. The vagaries of global warming and climate change have only made things worse. While things are beginning to improve in the last few years, there is much that needs to be done for ensuring that the villages of Uttarakhand are no longer abandoned, especially by the youth.
This three-day long expedition will help you understand understand the environmental issues being faced by India, come up with sustainable solutions and experience the joy and happiness of living in the lap of Mother Nature.
This is your opportunity to:
- understand the challenges faced by rural India,
- experience living close to Nature in the Himalayas,
- feel the clean, blue Yamuna before it reaches Delhi.
The three-day long Rural Expedition will take place on 28, 29 and 30 June 2019. There are limited seats. First timers, who have not been on any Rural or Nature Expedition before are encouraged to apply.
Interested individuals can click here to fill the form for expressing your interest in this opportunity. The last date for applying is 24 June 2019. Further information regarding the Rural Immersion Expedition will be shared with you shortly after your expression of interest.
