Apply to Become A Climate Leader, Help America Protect the Climate

Green Alert
It has now become abundantly clear that President Donald Trump of the United States of America no longer wishes to engage his administration with the Paris Climate Agreement. Consequently, the USA, one of the greatest contributor of greenhouse gases, global warming and climate change is now under no binding or non-binding agreement for ensuring the protection of the global climate. However, if President Trump won't lead, Planet Earth has an ally in the former governance system of USA. The burden of leadership for protecting the environment, and for helping Americans protect the climate has now fallen on the US Ex-Vice President Al Gore. "If global food waste was a country, it would be the third largest greenhouse gas emitter after US and China." - World Resources Institute Here is some food for thought, imagine disposing off one of the three shopping bags after you go grocery shopping in the nearest garbage bin. Feel some guilt? Basically, that's exactly what's happening with our food globally. One third of all the food produced in the world is either lost or wasted. Every year world leaders meet at the UNFCCC led Conference of the Parties (CoP) to agree on global agenda for tackling climate change. Diverse issues including energy generation, transportation fuels, forest conservation and food production, among others are addressed. But one domain that needs more focus at present is how to tackle food waste and i...

The proposed budget reductions include a $2.6 billion cut for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2018, as well as a loss of $330 million in hazardous waste clean-up initiatives.
