The Greenlco Eco Foundation NGO celebrated an entire week of the World Environment Day, between 29 May and 5 June 2017. A Mind Your Bin campaign also launched as part of the week long celebrations. The week long campaign was unveiled by the Mayor of SDMC and a GREENOTHON cycling rally was also organised. A Greenlco Eco MUN (Model United Nation) was also organised, where 100 students participated as delegates to discuss 'Chemical waste disposal in high seas' and 'Convention on Climate Change'. The week long celebrations also included a Painting activity on Environment for children of all ages, which was conducted on 5 June, 2017.

On World Environment Day 2017, the country's largest luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz donated a state-of-the-art vacuum cleaning truck to the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). The donation was made as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of Mercedes-Benz India. With road dust emerging as one of the key contributors of air pollution in Delhi, the deployment of the Mercedes-Benz donated Road Sweeper truck will assist in making Delhi's roads and air cleaner than before. The BharatBenz-based Road Sweeper truck will be effective in reducing dust levels in Delhi by vacuum cleaning the roads. Based on a BharatBenz 1214R medium-duty platform, the sweeper truck is manufactured by Roots, India's largest indigenous manufacturer of cleaning machines and cleaning equipment. I...
