Jamghat is one of Delhi's leading non-profit Child Care organisation and winner of several awards for its exceptional work in helping and guiding homeless and destitute street children since the last 15 years with utmost dedication. Jamghat has been constantly working with children without homes by providing them with an enabling environment through a home, health care and education. Jamghat has also been conducting various activities such as street plays and stage performances to enhance the confidence of these children and helping them to integrate with the society. Yamuna and the Delhi Ridge: Delhi Greens Urban Ecotour Re-Connected Citizens to the City’s Lifelines

To commemorate Earth Day 2011, Delhi Greens made an attempt to re-connect the citizens of Delhi with the very lifelines that support them and the city. In partnership with the Earth Day Network and 'Jamghat a group of street children', Delhi Greens organized an urban ecotour focused on the two lifelines of Delhi: River Yamuna and the Delhi Ridge. We received scores of applicants who showed interest to be a part of the urban ecotour, out of which 45 citizens were selected on a first come first serve basis. Under-privileged children from Jamghat a group of street children were also a special invite to the Earth Day urban ecotour.
