The Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation invites affordable, scalable and innovative solutions from technical institutions, academia, startup, the Government, NGO's/ CSOs and innovators on sanitation. Submissions can be technical or concerning other aspects of the programme, and can be submitted by officials, partner organisations, NGOs, technical institutions, academia, CSOs, the government, private sector or others. The competition will conclude at the Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation (MGISC). The Government of India recently organised a National Media Consultation on Swachh Bharat Mission in New Delhi. The Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Shri Parameswaran Iyer, presided over the consultation. Shri Iyer shared details of the nation-wide mass mobilization drive, “Swachhata Hi Seva”, ahead of the 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October 2017. Swachhata Hi Seva campaign is seeing large scale mobilization of people from all walks of life to undertake shramdaan for cleanliness and construction of toilets, and cleaning up of public and tourist places. Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC), Noida and Noida Apparel Export Cluster recently organised a March for Responsible Citizen Initiative on awareness of Skill Development, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and Road Safety. The march began from ATDC Noida and the campaign was launched by Chief Guest Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon'ble Minister of State (I/c) of Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India. Sh.
