A high level stakeholders' Workshop on the problem of pollution around Taj Mahal was conducted by the Ministry of Culture in Agra on 3rd June 2018. The Workshop was Chaired by Minister of State (I/C) of Culture and Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Dr. Mahesh Sharma. The Workshop was called to discuss the issues of pollution around Taj Mahal with a focus on drawing short-term and long-term measures to deal with the problem and to protect the Taj from environment pollution. 500 Children Taken On the Flight of Fantasy on World Tourism Day

BookASmile, an initiative of India's leading ticketing brand BookMyShow, invited over 500 underprivileged children on a visit to the Taj Mahal, on World Tourism Day on September 27. For all the children, who came from 22 cities across India, not only was this their first trip to Taj Mahal, but it was also their first time in an airplane! Aged between 10 and 17, the children were taken on a two day guided tour of the Taj Mahal and other monuments i Agra.
