WWF is looking for Sr Prog Officer for One Planet Academy
WWF-India – Environment Education team is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Senior Programme Officer – One Planet Academy for its Environment Education Division based in New Delhi. The Environment Education (EE) division of WWF-India works with the vision to inform and empower children, youth, and citizens to take action and create impact for a sustainable planet. The team has an on-ground presence in 12 states. Through a variety of outreach and engagement initiatives across six education verticals, Team EE connects with students, educators, school leaders, college goers, young adults, professionals, and citizens.
Job Description/ Role:
To manage and track the operations and development of WWF-India’s One Planet Academy programme and engage and build relationships with its users and stakeholders.
Location: WWF-India Secretariat, New Delhi
Job Profile:
Project management:
- Leading project management and monitoring for the One Planet Academy programme.
- Planning budgets to ensure optimum utilization; tracking expenditure and maintaining trackers and records.
- Securing project approvals, drafting MoUs and agreements, and collecting invoices from vendors.
- Collating user statistics to assess the impact of One Planet Academy digital platform.
- Updating Monitoring Information Systems and reporting to donors on project status every month and quarter.
- Working with third-party vendors for various aspects of product development (content, design, video shoots and post-production, web development etc.)
Coordination of digital product development:
- Internal coordination and consultation with the marketing and communications team ensuring the right solutions are deployed towards the seamless functioning of the website.
- Coordinate externally with the web-developer and other tech agencies involved in the operation, maintenance, and development of One Planet Academy digital platform.
- Identifying partners for website content for One Planet Academy.
Outreach, community-building, and communications:
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships such as schools, students, educators etc. through consistent engagement using digital communications, social media, face-to-face events, and other platforms.
- Planning logistics and conducting on-ground and virtual workshops, conferences, and other events.
- Crafting educational and promotional social media posts for online outreach and engagement.
- Writing and editing reports and other communication materials.
- Other education related project work assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in Environment Science/ Science/ Sustainability Studies/ Education/ Communications or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university
- Minimum 2 years experience with a project management component
- Experience or an educational qualification in Instructional Design/ E-learning/ Educational Technology would be an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent English language skills are essential.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and basic creative tools such as Canva.
