Hotels Going Green As Business Travellers Preferring Green-Certified Hotels

An increasing number of business travellers are opting for green-certified hotels in an effort to curb the impact of their frequent travelling. A new survey (Global Business Traveler Survey 2013) by market research firm Timetric indicates that 47% of respondents confirmed that it is ‘important’ for them to stay in green-certified hotels during business trips. 7% of the respondents consider green certifications to be an ‘extremely important’ factor in their choice of hotel. Ford: Going Green with Every Launch The Ford Motor Company took yet another major step towards helping stabilize global carbon dioxide emissions by becoming the first automaker to join a voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting programme recently established in India.
