photography competition

The United Religions Initiative (URI) – North India Afghanistan Zone is organising a photography competition to celebrate this very spirit of World Interfaith Harmony. The Photography Competition is being organised on the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week (1-7 February 2021). The theme of the photography competition is Diasporas of India: Connecting, Contesting and Converging. The photograph must be clicked in India or Afghanistan.

India is a diverse country where diaspora communities from several countries and belonging to several faiths co-exist. URI is particularly looking for images that illustrate how diasporas connect with those back home, others in diaspora and more widely, the conflicting identities of diasporas; and how diasporas converge with other communities. The photograph must bring out diverse cultures, traditions, food habits, festivals, other habits as they coexist and thrive in a foreign land.

The winner and the two runners ups will get a cash prize. All the participants will receive an e-certificate. The closing date and time for entries is 31st January 2021, by 12:00 pm IST.

United Religions Initiative (URI) is a San Francisco based global grassroots interfaith network that cultivates peace and justice by engaging people to bridge religious and cultural differences and work together for the good of their communities and the world.
