Ashoka University Invites Faculty Position in Environmental Studies

The Department of Environmental Studies at Ashoka University invites applications for Visiting Faculty (open-rank) position for the Monsoon 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. The semester will commence from 14 August 2021 till 15 May 2022.

Applications are invited from outstanding scholars in Environmental Sciences, which includes ecology, earth and atmospheric sciences, environmental chemistry, and remote sensing, and in environmental policy and law. Candidates with substantial teaching experience will be preferred.

The faculty is expected to teach two courses per semester viz.  One is the compulsory Environmental Studies Foundation Course, taught to incoming undergraduates who may not have a science background. The second course will be an elective offered to a smaller class of more senior undergraduates.

The Department includes both scholars of the natural sciences and the humanities and social sciences, and aims to foster quality interdisciplinary research scholarship.
