Steel Minister at Plastic Recycling Conference Asia 2.0

The Minister highlighted the vital role recycling can play towards making the planet free from plastic pollution. He also emphasized that together we must ensure the healthy quality of air, water and food. The Minister shared his views that developing clean and green steel, decarbonisation and becoming carbon neutral in a planned manner will be beneficial for our future. Recycling plastic will no doubt reduce pollution, it can also help the steel industry reduce coking coal imports and create new employment opportunities through the circular economy pathway.
