BC Jindal Foundation Invests 40 Crore to Drive Social Impact in FY26

The BC Jindal Foundation, the social development arm of the BC Jindal Group, has announced a planned investment of Rs 40 crore toward Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across India in FY26. The investment will be directed toward strengthening healthcare, skill development, nutrition, and animal welfare, through the expansion of existing programmes and the launch of new initiatives.
Led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, Promoter of the BC Jindal Group, the Foundation will scale up its CSR operations across key states including Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana, and Maharashtra. Through these efforts, the Foundation aims to directly benefit more than 1.7 lakh people during the financial year.
Reiterating the group’s long-term commitment to responsible growth, a spokesperson for the BC Jindal Foundation said sustainability remains central to all its initiatives. “Our CSR programmes reflect our belief that inclusive development and sustainability must go hand in hand. As a responsible corporate citizen, we will continue to expand our social initiatives while aligning with the Government of India’s vision of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030,” the spokesperson said.
Aligned with multiple SDGs, the Foundation’s healthcare initiatives focus on improving affordability, accessibility, and quality of services for underserved communities. In the area of skill development, the Foundation currently offers training across nine high-employability sectors and has achieved a placement rate of nearly 70 percent. Community-focused projects such as drinking water facilities in Delhi and farmers’ livelihood programmes in Maharashtra’s Marathwada region further underscore its commitment to sustainable development. Additionally, the Foundation’s nutrition initiatives—under SDG 2 (Zero Hunger)—have provided over 20 lakh meals to people below the poverty line.
As part of its healthcare expansion plans, the BC Jindal Group will invest approximately Rs 4 crore in FY26–27 to scale up the Meena Devi Jindal Charitable Polyclinic. The expansion will include services such as dialysis, dental care, physiotherapy, pathology, diagnostics, and healthcare skilling, with the aim of benefiting over one lakh people directly.
Highlighting recent progress, the spokesperson added that in FY25–26 the Foundation focused on strengthening its flagship projects by adding new services at its polyclinics. During the year, construction also commenced on a new polyclinic in Nalwa and a skill development centre in Belur, Howrah, further expanding the Foundation’s footprint in community healthcare and employability.
