Training on Open Source Quantum GIS

Owing to the utility of geospatial tools in all fields of sustainable management of resources, Geographic Information System (GIS) has become one of the indispensable tools for studies, research and policy framework. The cost of the available GIS softwares and skilled human resource are among the major hurdles to use this tool. The Open Source GIS software is one of the convenient ways to overcome such issues.

With this realization, TERI University, New Delhi in collaboration with kCube, Chennai is planning to organize Training Program on Open Source GIS – Quantum GIS. This will provide a structure route to spatial and non-spatial database generation, management, analysis and decision making. The training will be organized in two stages for different user group:
- For GIS Professionals – 5 Day Training Program (April 12th – 16th 2010)
- For Students – 2 Day Training Program (April 17th – 18th 2010)
