The cost of the available GIS softwares and skilled human resource are among the major hurdles to use this tool. The Open Source GIS software is one of the convenient ways to overcome such issues.

With this realization, TERI University, New Delhi in collaboration with kCube, Chennai is planning to organize Training Program on Open Source GIS – Quantum GIS. This will provide a structure route to spatial and non-spatial database generation, management, analysis and decision making. The training will be organized in two stages for different user group:
