Low Carbon CWG 2010 Campaign

The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) have jointly developed a low carbon campaign for Commonwealth Games 2010. Young Indian sporting icons are shown in real life situations promoting green behaviour.

Shera giving green tips

Launched with the theme and title, ‘Go Green – It Works’, the campaign is aimed at inspiring the common man to adopt green behaviour in his/her everyday life and lifestyle. Even the Shera is promoted and utilized in the campaign as the CWG Mascot is seen cycling, promoting the use of CFL and biogas, advising viewers to carpool and plant trees and live a green lifestyle.
