Van Dhan Yojana Highlighted at National Tribal Festival

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is hosting a National Tribal Festival, Aadi Mahotsav 2019 at Dilli Haat, INA in New Delhi from 16 to 30 November 2019. The festival has already been joined by the Governor of Chhattisgarh Ms. Anusuiya Uikey Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Smt. Renuka Singh and the Managing Director of TRIFED, Pravir Krishna.

A key component of the National Tribal Festival is the highlighting of the importance of forests, especially for the tribal people. The outcome of the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana, which seeks to improve tribal incomes through value addition of tribal products, has also been at display at the Aadi Mahotsav tribal festival.
