The inaugural run of the Tiger Trail Circuit Train from Delhi Safdarjung Station, being flagged off by the Union Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, through video conferencing on the occasion of the World Environment Day, 2016. The Ministry of Railways has launched a Tiger Express train which has been conceptualized through the personal interest of the Railway Minister himself! The Tiger Express tourist train will be operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The Tiger Express itinerary for a total of 5 days/6 nights starts from Delhi followed by Katani, Jabalpur, Bandhavgadh and Kanha. The second phase of the Science Express Biodiversity Special (SEBS), a mobile biodiversity exhibition train on a Mission to create massive awareness on India’s rich biodiversity, being flagged off. The train, which is now on its journey, was flagged off by Union Minister of Railways, Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Minister of Environment & Forests Smt. Jayanthi Natarajan and Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi from Delhi in the second week of April 2013. The first phase of the SEBS was flagged off in June, 2012.

The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India is looking for science communicators with key skills in the field of biodiversity to come on board its Science Express project! The Science Express is a unique exhibition train, traveling across India. After four successful tours, its next phase will be a "Biodiversity Special" and will travel to around 55 locations across India between June to December 2012. The objective of the Science Express is to develop awareness about biodiversity, climate change and similar issues among students and general public. Captured on August 16, 2010, the Commonwealth Express (CWG) train which was flagged off from Delhi June 24 stands at the Secunderabad Railway Station. The train aims at spreading the spirit of the Games and motivates youth across the country to participate in various sports. The exhibition train comprises 11 coaches. While five coaches feature rare CWG memorabilia, the remaining six are devoted to showcasing Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Secunderabad, which is the twin city of Hyderabad, is the 26th stop-over for the train, During its 101-day journey, the special train will travel through 21 states and three union territories, stopping at 49 major stations before returning to Delhi on October 2, well on time before the scheduled start off date of October 3, 2010...
