Delhi Greens wishes everyone a Happy and Thoughtful International Day for Biological Diversity. The Theme for the International Day for Biodiversity 2015 is Biodiversity for Sustainable Development.
This year’s theme reflects the importance of efforts made at all levels to establish a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the United Nations Post-2015 Development Agenda for the period of 2015-2030 and the relevance of biodiversity for the achievement of sustainable development.
It is important here to note that the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the medicines we use, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the house we make are all obtained DIRECTLY from biodiversity. We cannot think of sustaining human growth without protecting the very biodiversity that supports all of us. Let us imbibe this thought in our hearts and minds, on this International Day for the Biological Diversity 2015~
