Abstract: The climate crisis is an unprecedented challenge to the future of life on planet earth. Climate gases already released into the atmosphere will likely cause dramatic climate changes by 2030 , including coastal erosion, drought and famine. This talk will sketch out a Buddhist environmental ethic, the path of an eco-sativa. If will then delve into Buddhist social ethics in search of practical advice on responding to planetary suffering.
