Wall Mural Art Attempt to Reverse Migration from Uttarakhand Villages

Uttarakhand, the land of the Gods, has also suffered from large-scale migration of people away from villages. As a result, the villages are largely empty and some of them are even completely abandoned. These ghost villages are a sorry reminder of India’s uneven development since independence.

Now, attempts are being made to revive and rejuvenate the villages of Uttarakhand through promoting economic development, highlighting tourism potential and celebrating those who have continued to live in these villages. Delhi Greens brings to you one such initiative from a village in the Mussoorie hill range courtesy Anirudh Ashram.
