Watch the Ruins of Delhi as Recorded by BFI in 1910

This attractive travelogue is centred on the imposing ruined structures of the Qutub complex at Mehrauli in South-west Delhi. The filmmakers also film scenes of the community life surrounding the complex – images with a distinctly pastoral flavour.

This film was Part of India on Film: 1899 – 1947 collection of newly digitised films as part of British Film Institute (BFI)’s contribution to UK-India Year of Culture in 2017 in partnership with the British Council.
