Transport Minister Launches Green Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle
Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari launching the world’s most advanced Green Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Toyota Mirai in New Delhi on 16 March, 2022. Minister for Heavy Industries Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Power, New and Renewable Energy Minister Raj Kumar Singh and other dignitaries are also seen.
The launch is a first of its kind project in India aimed to create a Green Hydrogen based ecosystem in the country. Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, powered by Hydrogen is one of the best Zero Emission solutions. It is environment friendly with no tailpipe emissions other than water. Green Hydrogen can be generated from renewable energy which is abundantly available biomass. Introduction and adoption of technology to tap into green hydrogen potential can play a key role in securing a clean and affordable energy future for India.
