The Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Santosh Kumar Sarangi flagging-off the Run for Sun on the occasion of International Sun Day at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on 3 May, 2026.

International Sun Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of the Sun as a source of light, heat and renewable solar energy. It encourages people to appreciate solar power and its role in creating a cleaner and more sustainable future.
