Summer plan: Delhi CM orders continuous water supply, quick complaint resolution
Delhi chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday chaired a review meeting to assess the city’s summer water management plan and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply, swift redressal of complaints, and warned strict action against negligence.
The Delhi Jal Board on Friday said that it had attempted to rationalise water supply by “operating sluice valves on loop lines”, but “no significant improvement was observed”, even as seven CGHS (Cooperative Group Housing Society) societies in Dwarka — “situated at the tail end of the distribution network” under command tank 2 Madhu Vihar — continued to face short supply of water for the last 30 days.

Delhi govt designates analysts to collect, test water samples
The Delhi government has appointed two officials of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee as “government analysts”, who will be responsible for collecting and testing samples of water, sewage and industrial effluents collected across the city and submitting reports on these to both the state and the Centre.
DDA to revive 77 water bodies; 6 targeted in 30 days
The Delhi Development Authority will immediately begin work on rejuvenating 77 water bodies across the national capital, with six targeted for restoration within the next 30 days, officials said on Saturday.

India to host first Big Cat Summit in June
The inaugural International Big Cat Alliance Summit, to be held here from June 1 to 3, is expected to adopt the first-ever global declaration on big cat conservation, titled the ‘Delhi Declaration’, which will articulate shared priorities, strengthen transboundary cooperation, and promote a landscape-based approach for conserving big cats and their habitats.
