Home Minister Inaugurates Pond Construction in Gandhinagar
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for ponds in various areas of Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 28 May, 2026.
Construction of ponds help improve groundwater recharge and increase water availability for agriculture and domestic use. The ponds can also reduce the impact of droughts by storing rainwater and supporting local ecosystems. Additionally, they contribute to better water management and enhance environmental sustainability in the region.
