NGT Expands Uranium Contamination Case To Delhi
The National Green Tribunal has expanded proceedings in a suo motu matter concerning uranium contamination in groundwater, directing that the Delhi Pollution Control Committee and the Government of NCT of Delhi be impleaded as respondents after taking note of a report indicating that 13 to 15 per cent of groundwater samples in Delhi were contaminated with uranium beyond permissible limits.

Delhi LG Sandhu approves land for India’s first e-waste eco park
Clearing the way for various infrastructure projects, Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu approved the allotment of 8.5 hectares of land for India’s first e-waste eco management park at Holambi Kalan, officials said on Wednesday.

The Delhi forest department has granted permission to the NBCC to transplant 1,049 trees and cut down 42 trees for redevelopment of the General Pool Residential Accommodationcolony in Sarojini Nagar, according to an official document.
