Invitation: Dialogue on Sustainable Societies

The Coalition for Environment and Development (CED) and South Asian Dialogues on Ecological Democracy (SADED) cordially invite you to a dialogue in the series on
Sustainable Cultures – Cultures of Sustainability: Dialogues on the Future of Low Ecological Footprint Communities.

Mr. Vijay Pratap will introduce the theme of the dialogue. Ms. Rajni Bakshi will initiate the discussion by presenting the main arguments of her book: ‘An Economics for Well Being’. Mr. Harsh Mandar will chair the session.

Event Background:

In May 2008 Coalition for Environment and Development, Finland launched a
nine-month project under the title

CULTURES OF SUSTAINABILITY – SUSTAINABILITY OF CULTURES:
Dialogues on the Future of Low Ecological Footprint Communities.The aim of the project is to find ways of preserving the ways of sustainable societies and transforming unsustainable ones by engaging in dialogue with concerned people in Finland, India, Kenya, Nepal and Tanzania.
