Dissemination Workshop on ‘Study on Radioactive Waste in India’

Toxics LinkToxics Link invites all to participate in a dissemination workshop on the ‘Study on Radioactive Waste in India’ as part of the recently concluded study taken up by Toxics Link, with support from Heinrich Boll Foundation, aimed at mapping the civilian nuclear fuel cycle in India with a clear focus on waste generation and management practices and flagging critical issues therein.

Date: 2nd December, 2008
Time: 11 am to 4 pm
Venue: PHD House, (Mohta Room), Siri Institutional Area, New Delhi

The workshop seeks to bring together an eclectic mix of experts from the nuclear establishments, scientific community, academia, civil society, international agencies and media. The objective is to share the initial findings with the participants and seek inputs that can be incorporated in finalising the report. In addition, it is expected that the workshop will provide to the participants a platform for holding a rich, informed discussion on the issue and suggest possible action points as a way forward.

Those who wish to participate and lend a great value to the discussions can confirm their participation to Upasana Choudhry by email at upasana.choudhry@gmail.com or on phone at 9810660678.
