The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge), Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Prakash Javadekar at the XVIII BASIC Ministerial Meeting on Climate Change, in New Delhi on August 08, 2014.

While addressing the participating nations and individuals during the Meeting, the Environment Minister noted, “We are at a very critical stage in our efforts to combat climate change.  While science prompts us towards greater action, we find that response of countries is not adequate.  We must incentivise action- the first step in this regard is enhanced action by developing countries.
