Watch: Need for Conservation of Dheerpur Wetland in Delhi

The Centre for Urban Ecology and Sustainability at Ambedkar University Delhi walks you through a regular day in the life of a researcher involved in the restoration and conservation of an urban wetland located in Dheerpur, Delhi. Dheerpur Wetland Project – The project envisages ecologically restoring 25.38 hectares of land earmarked for conservation of wetlands at Dheerpur as per the management agreement between DDA and AUD, using well-established frameworks of restoration science. The Project is undertaken by the Centre for Urban Ecology and Sustainability (CUES) set up by Ambedkar University Delhi with a mandate on Urban Ecology, Conservation of Wetlands, and Urban Sustainability.
