Public Lecture and Panel Discussion on Asthma at AIIMS
300 million people suffer from asthma globally. Asthma also causes about 250,000 deaths annually. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of asthmatic patients is expected to increase to 400 million by 2025. Taking children and adults together, there are nearly 30 million asthmatics in India today, which constitutes about 10% of the global burden of Asthma. This makes asthma a disease of particular concern, especially since the causative factors of asthma are only on the rise in cities like Delhi.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi invites all interested to a public lecture and panel discussion on ‘Recurrent Cough, Cold and Wheezing in Children: Is It Asthma?’

The panelists during the panel discussion will be Dr. S.K. Kabra, Dr. Rakesh Lodha, Dr. Kana Ram Jat and Dr. Jhuma Sankar. The public lecture and panel discussion will be followed by tea.
