India Approves COVID Vaccine, Leap of Science Says Vice President
After an year of battling COVID-19, India has approved not one but two vaccines for fighting the COVID menace. COVISHEILD and COVAXIN are the two vaccines approved by the Government of India.
The Vice President of India and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has hailed the emergency authorization of two COVID-19 vaccines yesterday as India’s leap of science that benefits humanity at large. The Vice President observed that the country rose in unison in 2020 in handling the COVID situation with the national leadership both in the Centre and in the States/UTs has worked with a sense of unity of purpose and action. This helped in significantly enhancing the required capacities to fight the pandemic and containing the same.
He also stressed on the need to demonstrate the same resolve in taking the vaccine to the people.
